Mutual Success

Board Governance

Alice Kubicek

Over her professional career, Alice has divided her time between management consulting and academia. In the 1980s, she designed business courses for Small Business, before being asked to teach supervisory skills and management courses at Colleges in Montreal and Ottawa. In the mid to late 1990s, she became an adjunct professor in undergraduate Bachelor of Administration Programs, and then in the early new millennia, in physical and virtual MBA classes, nationally and internationally, She has also participated as an MBA curriculum advisor and has designed and managed Executive Certificate programs for senior decision makers in the private and public sectors. Professional Development has always been her passion, with her own MBA thesis focusing on the value of an MBA for one's career success.

Since 2003, each early January, Alice leads a team of judges at the John Molson International MBA Case Competition in Montreal at her alma mater, Concordia University. At this extraordinary event, the Board of Directors and JMSB volunteers welcome MBA teams from universities all over the world. As the MBA Program Director, Sandra Betton, PhD, stated this year: "this student organized competition provides an exciting and challenging opportunity for MBA students from around the world to test their skills, intuition and stamina in an intensive week long case competition".

It is both an exciting and humbling experience, to be asked to participate in an event that so significantly impacts the future of these MBA students.

Community Partnerships: Mutual Success

akpsGlobal's mission, to enable clients to create alignment between their strategy and their operations to reach their highest performance potential, is successful because of the  solid and trusting relationships established. We are committed to leaving clients with a sustainable and desirable work culture. Their stories long after the project is completed is a testimonial to our success.

The non-profit sector relies on building strong collaborative partnerships to achieve success.   Whether it be the sharing of knowledge or the experience of exploring new approaches or new directions,  the agencies, foundations and councils akpsGlobal works with find themselves in a better place after the work is done, just as we find ourselves having benefited from the opportunity to serve them and their constituents.
